Wichita County voters got some help in deciding who they are going to vote for in the upcoming local elections after a candidate forum this evening.
The League of Women Voters held the forum in the Wichita Falls City Council Chamber.
Candidates from three different races, 13th District Congressman Mac Thornberry, Libertarian candidate for the 30th district State Senate, Richard Forsythe and Republican candidate for the 69th District State Representative James Frank; talked during a legislative panel.
Larry Lambert, spokesman for the League of Womens Voters, says the forum gives voters an opportunity to meet and hear each candidate in person.
"We tried to do things to inform voters so that they can vote on intelligent basis but we don't try to influence which way they go," Lambert says.
Candidates for the County Commissioner, Precinct 3, Wichita County Tax Assessor and Collector and Judge, 89th District Court were also on hand for a local candidate panel.
