Walters Man Being Held in Connection with Cotton Co. Shootings
The man authorities say is responsible for shooting two people inside a Cotton County home over the weekend is now in the Wichita County Jail.
Forty-five year-old Robert Turk is being held on a $100-thousand bond.
His charge is listed as fugitive from justice: bench warrant for shooting with the intent to kill two people.
He's also charged with possession of a firearm by felon, burglary, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Two people were shot inside of a home around two Saturday afternoon located three miles north of Highway 53 in Cotton County.
Authorities say Turk shot one victim in the leg and the other in the leg and arm.
Officers say at the home they were told the gunman had left the scene.
During their search, authorities say an Oklahoma state trooper spotted the suspect in the town of Walters, which is Turk's hometown.
The gunman then led them on a chase to New Hope Rd., where a Comanche County sheriff deputy cut him off.
Upon arrest, authorities say they noticed the suspect had a gunshot wound to the mouth that was possibly self-inflicted.
