For several months, crews have been forming and finalizing the track out at Berends Landing.
Coordinators say all that's needed before its complete is for the track to be sealed with a special solvent.
"We'll be treating the soil with silo-stabalizer. What that does is it repels the water and also it won't require any water. The track I talked to that used this substance on their track.. they haven't watered their track in nine years," says Mark Pinson, manager for the BMX track.
Pinson says the track will open on September 12th for the Redline Flight School BMX Clinic.
And signup is now underway.
The clinic starts on September 12th at 6 p.m. at the Wee-Chi-Tah BMX Track off Wichita Street.
The sign up cost is $20 and it will be taught by BMX Pro Jason Carnes.
You can sign up for the clinic by calling Riverside Cycling Center at 940-257-6210.
