She's headed up the Wichita Falls city clerks office for several decades.
And today, Lydia Ozuna officially announced her plan to retire.
Nearly 20 years ago, Ozuna was appointed city clerk by the Wichita Falls City Council.
During that time, she has worked with numerous mayors, city managers and city council members, as well as overseen countless elections.
Ozuna says two years ago she started considering retirement and now she says it is time to make it official.
"I have accomplished so much with the help of the Lord and I feel so wonderful about it. And I feel so good about what he has allowed me to do and what he has guided me to do. So now, I feel it's time to do other things," Ozuna says.
Ozuna says she's looking forward to spending time traveling and spoiling her six year old grandson with a trip to Disney World.
Her last day as Wichita Falls city clerk will be June 28th.
