The Wichita Falls City Council will start appointing members tomorrow to a committee to improve Lake Wichita.
Years of silt build up and lack of rain has drastically lowered the water level of Lake Wichita.
So, the Wichita Falls Park Board recommended the creation of a committee to study the lake and come up with a plan to revitalize it and make it popular among water sports enthusiasts, which councilors approved.
And during Tuesday morning's council meeting, city leaders will start accepting names and appoint five Wichita Falls citizens to that committee.
