The upcoming concert for the classic rock ban, Styx, will serve up some much needed proceeds for the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.
Last month, the non-profit organization, Rock to the Rescue, contacted food bank officials with news they were chosen to benefit from a fundraiser.
The organization was founded by Styx, which will be in concert in less than two weeks in Wichita Falls.
And a guitar autographed by members of Styx and other artists will be raffled off with a portion of raffle ticket sales going to the food bank.
"It's coming at a perfect time because things slow down in January and February for us, as far as donations go, but the need does not slow down at all," says Betsi Lujan, director of development at the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.
Lujan says raffle tickets will only be sold at the concert, which is Sunday, January 12th at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium.
Tickets are $10 each.
And again, 25% of raffle ticket sales will go to the local food bank.
