Monday just before 11 p.m., fire crews battled flames in a home in the 1,000 block of Talley Lane.
Investigators confirm an electrical short in the attic started the blaze.
Officials say the fire caused $45,000 in damage but the family of six was not home when it started.
The American Red Cross is now providing the two adults and four children with food, shelter and clothing.
The Red Cross is also providing food and shelter tonight for two adults and a 14 year old after a fire started Wednesday at their home on 10th Street.
Investigators say an electrical problem with a TV in the master bedroom caused this blaze.
Officials are still trying to determine the dollar amount of damage.
