WICHITA FALLS - The WFISD wants parents' input on the proposed calendar for next school year.
The calendar was developed by a committee of parents, teachers, principals and administration staff and now district leaders are asking for feedback.
The biggest change on this proposed calendar is that Thanksgiving break will be a full week, instead of just three days.
Even though nothing is set in stone, school officials want to make sure parents feel involved in the process.
"We know that there won't be a calendar that's going to fit the needs for everybody and not everybody is going to be happy with everything, but we're trying to take as much feedback as we can and make it a student-friendly and teacher-friendly calendar," WFISD Public Information Officer Ashley Thomas said.
The final school calendar will be approved by the school board in the spring.
In the meantime, school leaders want to hear from you, by filling out this survey. For those who don't have internet, you are urged to call the community relations office at (940) 235-1004.
