WFPD arrest a man in connection with a robbery

WICHITA FALLS - Wichita Falls Police Officers arrest a man in connection with a robbery at the Lone Star Dollar Saver.

Police obtained an arrest warrant 30-year-old Edwin Leon Taylor for aggravated robbery. Yesterday at approximately 11:45 am, officers we called to the 3600 block of Sheppard access for an aggravated robbery.

According to police, the employee at lone star said a white male wearing all black entered the store and demanded money while displaying a handgun.

He got away in a black Chevrolet Tahoe with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police found Taylor at a local hotel just off of Loop 11 and Northwest Freeway.

Police also say Taylor led them on a brief pursuit on foot before being arrested. He is now booked in the Wichita County jail.
