WFPD: Man arrested after running from police

24-year-old mason Hogue is charged with evading arrest. Two officers were in the area of Thomas Avenue and Cunningham looking for a suspect in a  vehicle burglary on Lavell. Witnesses reported a man in a dark windbreaker ran from the scene.

The officers say they saw a man matching the suspect's description In the 43-hundred block of Cunningham. They told him to stop and say he looked at them, then when they yelled "stop"  again, he ran into the alley. One officer chased him on foot while the other drove into the alley in his patrol car.

The officer on foot then yelled to the other officer that the suspect was in front of a home in the 44-hundred block of Cunningham, both officers detained the suspect.

They say he was wearing only pants, and they found a black windbreaker, a shirt and shoes between two houses. Hogue is charged with evading arrest.  

He has one prior conviction for theft in 2014.
