Wichita Falls Police are warning about a new scam invading Texoma.

Police say some residents have been receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be with the Wichita Falls Police Department. The caller requests money to pay an outstanding debt and then threatens the person by saying they'll be arrested.

The caller ID indicates the call is from the Wichita Falls Police Department. Remember, the WFPD does not collect debts in any way, shape or form. This is a scam and if you receive a call like this, please call police immediately.
