Wichita County Sheriffs Deputies seize 16 pounds of meth, heroin

A traffic stop at U.S. 287 South and Burnett Ranch Road lead to the Wichita County K9 Interdiction Unit's largest seizure so far in 2017.

Sheriff David Duke said the seizure happened on Sat., Oct. 14 around 2 p.m.

During the stop, the deputy said he observed signs of criminal activity.

A search of the vehicle yielded over 16 pounds of crystal meth and black tar heroin concealed within the vehicle. 

The street value of the narcotics is over $750,000. 

Sheriff Duke said all suspects were arrested and released to the Drug Enforcement Agency pending further federal investigation.
