Nearly 200 families have full pantries tonight, thanks to a collaboration between the North Texas Area United Way and the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.

Those organizations teamed up to give fresh fruits and vegetables to those in the West Lynwood neighborhood today.

Those in need lined up before distribution began, and it only took 30 minutes for all 150 produce bags to be handed out.

Organizers say events like this are important for the community, and help from groups around the area are key in making it happen.

Rev. David Sapata of the Solid Rock House of God said, "It was a great honor to partner up with the area food bank and the United Way to pass the produce, to be a part of this it was just awesome and words cannot explain what my heart feels at this moment."

One-hundred-seventy-two families were given more than 5,000 lbs. of produce.
