And here in Texoma, some health insurance underwriters sounded off during an education training day at the Wichita Falls Country Club.
The Obamacare debacle still has members of the Texoma Association of Health Underwriters feeling helpless because one month after open enrollment started many are still unable to help clients get healthcare coverage.
First came the gloves then the mask and capped crusader was ready to rumble. Why?
"Because of the scary things that are happening around Obamacare," says Kelly Fristoe of Financial Partners.
Things that include massive computer glitches that have prevented millions from signing up for insurance coverage on Healthcare.gov.
Open enrollment started October 1st and members attending this Texoma Association of Health Underwriters Education Day say it has not improved much.
"We're able to do enrollments for people off the exchange that are willing to pay the premiums of the insurance companies for January 1st effective dates but we're not able to go through the Healthcare.gov website to do those enrollments," Fristoe explains.
Health and Humans Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius spent day two testifying during a house hearing about the Healthcare.gov fiasco. And one local insurance agent says it's about time someone accepts responsibility.
"We did our certifications. We did all of our things that we were suppose to do. Insurance companies have done everything that they were suppose to do. The one entity that hasn't followed through on what they were suppose to do is the government," says Jackie Spragins of Alred Thompson mason Daugherty Higginbotham Insurance.
And these health insurance experts say while the government continues to try to fix the problem time is running out for them to help clients obtain required healthcare coverage. Problems with Healthcare.gov are expected to be fixed by November 30th but health insurance experts say if that is the case that will only leave two weeks for more then seven million Americans to enroll so in coverage and meet the January 1st effective date.
