Members at a Wichita Falls church took time today to recognize the pets in their lives with a blessing service.
More than a dozen dog owners brought their furry friend to the First United Methodist Church this afternoon for their second annual Animal Blessing.
Attendees sang and took part in a worship service before church leaders individually blessed each animal.
"It's important because they are important to us. And they are god's creatures just like we are and so we think it's important to be able to share god's love with them," said Georgia Harrison, a Reverend at First United Methodist Church.
Several pet owners gave testimony of how their dogs are blessings in their lives.
And at the end of the service, all the dogs went home with a bag full of treats.
