Wichita Falls Fire Department investigators are looking into what sparked two separate fires that kept crews busy on Wednesday afternoon.
One started in a detached apartment in the 2300 hundred block of 10th Street around 3:15 p.m..
Wichita Falls Assistant Fire Chief John Reese says when firefighters arrived, they saw flames coming from the home.
He says no one was home but officials say the structure was heavily damaged.
Reese says one woman who lived in a nearby apartment was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out in about 20 minutes.
Also, around the same time, firefighters fought a garage apartment fire near 16th and Burnett streets.
The fire caused some damage to the outside of the structure.
The cause of both fires remain under investigation.
