People all over the country are taking part in the ice bucket challenge to raise money for ALS awareness.
Participants take part once they've been challenge by another individual, donate money online and then dump a bucket of ice on their head.
They then challenge another individual or group.
Many of the Wichita Falls Professional Firefighters were challenged, so the group decided to come together today with some of their family members to accept the challenge, and to honor a member of their own family.
"Kelly crush was a Wichita Falls Professional Firefighter and he had the disease and he was an advocate nation wide for ALS. So, we're going to do it today in his memory," Wichita Falls Professional Firefighters Association president, Bobby Whiteley, says.
The ALS association has received 62.5 million dollars as of Saturday, that is compared to 2.4 million during the same time last year.
