Wichita Falls Man Accused of Setting up Fake Moving Business Scam

A Wichita Falls man is facing jail time because he's accused of scamming people from all over the United States.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant in the 4700 block of Cypress this afternoon where the man was arrested.

Sheriff Kenny Lemons says while the man was living in Clay County a few months ago, he would set up fictitious moving businesses on the internet.

Lemons says the man would then charge peoples credit cards without doing the work.

Sheriff Lemons says the man faces a charge of credit card fraud, over $20,000 and under $200,000.

He's expected to be transported from the Wichita County Jail to Clay County Wednesday morning.
