A 20-year-old Wichita Falls man is accused of using a shampoo bottle to smuggle drugs to a Wichita County Jail inmate serving time for aggravated robbery.

Ricardo Romero is charged with introduction of a controlled substance into a correctional facility. An arrest affidavit states surveillance video shows Romero entering the jail waiting room and giving the jail nurse a bottle of anti-dandruff shampoo for inmate Ernest Hernandez.

It states the nurse inspected the bottle and handed it over to a detention officer who noticed the bottle's cap had been tampered with. He says he found a bag of a green leafy substance shoved into the cap. Romero is out on a $10,000 bond.
