A Wichita Falls man receives his punishment today after he pleaded guilty to embezzling a quarter of a million dollars from his employer.
John Cox is placed on deferred adjudication community supervision for the next 10 years. He's also ordered to pay more than 245-thousand in restitution to the Dallas-based energy company he used to work for.
According to an arrest affidavit, the company noticed Cox's expenses were too high, and audited his records. The documents state that Cox submitted altered receipts with inflated reimbursement amounts.
