Wichita Falls Man Indicted for High Speed Chase that Reached 100 MPH

Two high-speed chases in Wichita County have resulted in indictments from the Wichita County Grand Jury.

Police arrested 44-year-old John Wade McCloud for theft and evading arrest. Officers say McCloud led them on a 100 mile-per-hour chase on March 13th after they set up surveillance on a car McCloud was in.

Wichita County deputies were also involved in the chase and say that a baggie was thrown from the window.
Officers say they discovered methamphetamine and a broken cell phone in the vehicle.

McCloud is also facing drug charges, a parole violation and a charge out of Cotton County. His bonds total $100-thousand dollars.
