A man accused of murdering a Texoma man wins release from a North Dakota state hospital.
In March 2011, 35-year-old Charles Davis was arrested for the death of Donald Flowers of Wichita Falls. He admitted stabbing him to death in a hotel conference room.
Authorities say Flowers and Davis knew each other through their jobs at Halliburton. Last year, a judge found Davis was not responsible for his actions due to a lack of criminal responsibility; similar to a temporary insanity plea.
Davis was sentenced to life in a state mental hospital.
Now, local media in Minot reports a judge has signed a conditional release order allowing Davis to live outside of the state hospital while he continues working a full time job. The release requires regular treatment and drug testing.
