One of the biggest shopping days of the year is this Friday and police want to remind shoppers of ways to keep their purchases safe. The Wichita Falls Police Department is kicking off its Lock, Take, Hide Campaign.

Police say you should always remember to lock your car, take your keys, and hide your belongings when you're out shopping. Officer Jeff Hughes said, "No crime can be committed without the opportunity. They can have all the desire an ability they want but if they do not have the opportunity to victimize us then we cannot be a victim."

Police say you should hide presents in your trunk, or better yet, take them home after you purchase them.
