Wichita Falls Woman Arrested for Possession of Marijuana in Drug Free Zone

A Wichita Falls woman is in jail after officers say she had marijuana in a drug free zone by the Old High baseball field.

24-year-old Shannon Nichole Louise Espinoza is charged with possession of marijuana under two ounces in a drug free zone.

It happened last Sunday in the 2100 block of Avenue I just before 1:00 in the afternoon. Officers say she told them she had an arrest warrant and marijuana in her backpack.

They say after checking for a warrant they found that she did have one so they arrested her. Then they say they searched her backpack and found a green leafy substance in a box, which later tested positive for marijuana.

Officers say after they searched her bag, she told them she also had more marijuana in her bra. Espinoza's bond is set at $2500 dollars.
