Woman Charged for Murder in Henrietta Arrraigned Today

A woman charged in Henrietta's first murder in 14 years appeared in a Clay County courtroom this morning for arraignment in that case.

Back on September 24th, Clay County authorities say 33-year-old Trinity Noland shot and killed a man in a home on North Red River Street who she claimed was attacking two other people.

36-year-old Shaun Simpson was found dead in the living room. At the time of her arrest, Clay County Sheriff Kenny Lemons said he did not believe the shooting was a case of self-defense.

Noland was transferred from Wichita County to Clay County yesterday for the arraignment. She was in the Wichita County jail after Wichita Falls officers charged her with aggravated robbery last month while she was out on bail for her murder charge.
