A woman charged with robbery after authorities say a loss prevention officer from JCPenneys was injured while trying to stop her from stealing receives her sentencing in the 89th District Court today.
Twenty-three year-old Stephanie Hatcher pleaded no contest to the robbery charged.
She was sentenced to four years probation and will have to pay a fine.
An arrest affidavit states thatcher was in the car with Chase Robb, who was also charged in the incident, which happened in August of last year.
Police say Robb kicked and hit the employee, before the employee jumped into the car with Robb and Thatcher.
Investigators say the vehicle stopped at Schlotsky's Deli and Thatcher got out wearing one cuff and then got into the driver's side, while the employee continued to hold onto the other handcuff.
They say she was dragged about 50 feet before letting go.
