Woman says she had an affair with Blair and it didn't end well

The defense rested its case Tuesday afternoon in the E.C. Blair murder trial, but more testimony could come.

Blair, Billy Minkley, Jr. and Ross Hellams were all arrested in connection with Leah Martin's death.

Minkley pleaded guilty and Hellams pleaded the fifth and won't be testifying for either side.

Carla Mckeown, with the Breckenridge Texan, reports that Tuesday evening District Attorney Dee

Peavy asked, without a jury present, to be allowed to present extraneous evidence.

Peavy says Blair had an affair with the mother of one of his grandchildren in 2008.

She says the woman, who has a child with Blair's son Aaron, said when she tried to break off the relationship with E.C. he paid one of his employees to throw bricks at her car and through her window.

During the trial, it also came to light that Blair had a relationship with Leah Martin, who also has a child with Aaron Blair.

The defense said this evidence has nothing to do with this case, but in the end, the judge ruled in favor of the prosecution.

On Wednesday the "extraneous evidence" witness will take the stand.
