Work continues on the original Zales building in Downtown Wichita Falls.
Downtown Proud purchased the building at 8th and Ohio in September. Since then, members have been working to restore and revitalize the nearly 100 year old building.
Architect and Board Member Syd Littekin says, “We have seen a lot of interest from outside sources looking at coming back to the downtown area like they are in a lot of other cities around here, bringing this building back is our first achievement. It's also the first time Downtown Proud has purchased a building to bring it back.”
So far, work includes replacing the roof and tearing out walls.
