The Wichita Falls YMCA is helping families reduce the area's high rate of diabetes and childhood obesity.
One program that already has little ones moving is called the Kicks and Sticks program.
It has kids having so much fun they don't realize they're actually working out.
While this workout program is being incorporated into an overall Childhood Obesity program, YMCA coordinators say they first plan to get a diabetes prevention program off the ground.

"We are trying to reduce the actual diabetes diagnosis incidents rate by screen people who are at risk for pre-diabetes or have been diagnosed with diabetes and hopefully they won't actually get diabetes," says Donisha Reed, director of health and wellness at the YMCA.

Coordinators say federal dollars will fund that program which is expected to be up and running this Fall.
