On Monday, Young County Commissioners will address the demolition of the old county jail.

The building has been empty for the past seven years with parts of it becoming a storage facility for several county offices.

However, in October, continued problems, including a leaky roof, had commissioners voting 3 to 1 to demolish it.

So during Monday's meeting commissioners will hear the county attorney's opinion on the removal of the old jail including the foundation.

Commissioners will also consider enforcing burn ban restrictions in the county.

That meeting gets underway monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Young County Courthouse.
