Authorities in Young County say they've dissolved a multi-county burglary ring and have uncovered more than half-a-million dollars worth of stolen property.
Young County Sheriff Bryan Walls says at 10 Wednesday night, his deputies served a search warrant in the 300 block of South Street in Graham. Inside the home, Walls says more than $500,000 dollars of stolen items were found along with drugs and more than 30 guns.
Walls says his office has been investigating those homeowners for a number of years. Authorities arrested five people there but Walls says their names and charges won't be released until later.
He says the suspects could be responsible for burglaries in a five-county area including Young, Palo Pinto, Jack, Archer, and Throckmorton. Officials from those counties are on scene trying to identify stolen property from their residents. Federal agents from the ATF and DEA are also on scene investigating.
