This year's banquet recognized graduating high school seniors as well as the Hispanic person of the year.
Sixteen scholarships were awarded, totaling $25,000.
Organizers say they're amazed at how the event has grown.
"We have worked hard, we have a whole new board. So to see us work together this hard and for the event to be this big. It just means a lot,” said Stephanie Robles, ZAVALA Vice President.
This year's Hispanic person of the year award was given to Margarita Luna.
Organizers say her years of work in the community made this less of a person of the year and more of a lifetime achievement.
