Dozens of Wichita County residents and business officials were sentenced to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy Association today.
Mallory, and about 150 other people with big hearts, were taken into custody at Texas Roadhouse during the annual MDA Lockup.
The restaurant closed during lunchtime so participants could call friends and raise money to post bail for a worthy cause.
"The bail amount is $1,600. That's how much we ask each person to raise. And, that represents sending two kids to summer camp.... MDA Summer Camp," says MDA Executive Director Daniel York.
Last year, this event raised $63,000 for MDA.
The goal this year is $70,000, which they reached.
