Mild Winter Has Allergy Sufferers Turning to Doctors

You may be loving these warm winter temperatures in Texoma but people who suffer from allergies are hating them!

Some trees and plants that normally start blooming later this month are already in full bloom.

It is making allergy sufferers miserable.

Many are turning to their doctors for help to get through their day but doctors say allergies are also causing problems for patients once it's time to go to bed.

"Your night is more miserable and you can't sleep cause your mouth is open and you're having difficulty, but that's a delayed response and the only things that have helped that is nasal steroids maybe. Antihistamines may help," says Dr. Lawrence Lyford with Community Healthcare Center.

Doctors say if you think allergies are bad now; just wait.

They say if the area receives enough rain to cause weeds to continue growing then you can expect a very long seasonal allergy problem.
