Now's your chance to see Wichita Falls from the sky in a vintage war bird.
This weekend, the Museum of North Texas history will be selling rides in a Douglas C-47, which is known as the "Southern Cross."
During World War II, the Southern Cross was used as a troop carrier and a paratroop trainer for the d-day invasion.
Just head out to Kickapoo Downtown Airport on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or Sunday from 9 a-m to three p-m.
Rides are 100 dollars per person, and all proceeds go to the museum's Call Field Exhibit and the operation of the museum's Curtiss Jenny.
