National Day of Prayer

People all over the country came together today in prayer, as part of the National Day of Prayer.
A crowd gathered at the Wichita County courthouse to share prayers for this nation's schools, government, military, businesses, media, church, and families.
The national day of prayer is meant to defend religious freedom and foster unity within the church.
    Dennis Appleby
"I'm concerned about the fact that God is taken out of all the public places, out of the school and so forth -- I'm concerned that the atheists are trying to get crosses taken off of military graves and out of memorials for our soldiers."
About a dozen events took place throughout Wichita Falls -- in addition to services throughout Texoma.
