Bystanders Tackle Pennsylvania Bank Robber

(WJAC) A man police said robbed a Johnstown, Pennsylvania bank Tuesday morning was chased down and tackled by two men who were nearby.

Johnstown police said just before noon Tyler Reed went into the USSCO Federal Credit Union on Central Avenue and demanded money.

As Reed left the bank, a customer inside followed him outside. Once outside, the customer signaled another man in the parking lot and the two began to chase Reed.

"When he left the bank, the customer inside the bank knew something had gone on," said police detective Thomas Owens. "He came out and observed individual in the parking lot changing clothes and he began to follow him."
