The twists and turns continue in the sex scandal which led to the resignation of CIA director David Petraeus. General John Allen, the top U.S. Commander in Afghanistan, is under investigation for "alleged" inappropriate communications with the woman at the center of the scandal.
Congressman Mac Thornberry serves on the House Intelligence Committee and gave his reaction to this new development. "This thing gets even more bizarre and we are all focused on the personal interactions but there are serious questions of national security," stated Thornberry.
General Allen denies any wrong doing and is currently nominated to become commander of the U.S. European command. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has ordered a Pentagon investigation of Allen.
