(WESH) A 4-year-old girl is dead and 11 other children injured after a sport utility vehicle ran a convertible off the road and into a Winter Park, Florida daycare Wednesday afternoon.

Orange County Fire Rescue officials said 13 patients were taken to four hospitals, and two were treated at the scene. Of the 13 transported, 12 were children.

Robert Alex Corchado, 28, is a suspect in the hit-and-run crash. She said an arrest warrant was issued for charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving death and leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injuries.

Corchado allegedly rented a black Mazda CX-5 or CX-9 SUV with a Florida license tag of CHR-Q41 from a Winter Park Enterprise Wednesday evening, officials said.

Authorities said anyone who has information about Corchado or sees him, should not approach him, and should contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 407-737-2200.
