Five Year Anniversary of "Miracle on the Hudson"

(NBC News) The pilot, passengers and crew who survived the "Miracle on the Hudson" returned to New York City Wednesday to mark the incredible crash landing's fifth anniversary.

They called the ceremony "a toast to life" because for so many on board that US Airways jet five years ago, life was in doubt.

"Without these people, my children would not have had a father," said passenger Barry Leonard.

On January 15th, 2009 Flight 1549 splash-landed in the Hudson River minutes after departing LaGuardia airport.
