Georgia High School to Hold First Racially Integrated Prom

(WMGT) Every spring students dress up and head off to separate proms, one for the white students and the other for black students.

But this year, that could all change for a school in Georgia.

When Wilcox County schools integrated 30 years ago, the annual school sponsored prom ended.

Parents began to raise money to host separate proms and it's a tradition that continues to this day.

Several high school students are working to break the racial boundaries and are raising money for the school's first integrated prom.
