(WAVE) Joe Lynch didn't need a top-of-the-line video camera. For five bucks, he couldn't resist picking up a turn-of-the-millennium RCA model at a Goodwill in Clarksville, Indiana.

"I take a lot of footage of my kids, but my wife keeps insisting I take more," he says.

The U.S. Army Sergeant First Class knows the value of making memories and capturing them, so when he discovered several tapes full of memories, including a newborn in a hospital, Lynch started searching for the rightful owner.

"I guess my mission right now is to try and find out who these tapes belong to so I can get them back to them," said Lynch.

The tapes are full of family vacations, birthdays and holidays.

The family may have lived near Stillwater, Oklahoma, which is where the baby may have been born. Stillwater Medical Center is embroidered in a scrub top seen in the video.
