New Jersey is now the 14th state to allow same-sex partners to wed.
The victory for advocates of same-sex marriage confirmed Monday morning when Governor Chris Christie withdrew the states appeal of the Marriage Equality law.
Christie says he still "strongly disagrees" with the law, but will do his constitutional duty to make sure it is recognized across the state.
