Personal Emergency Reporting System Transmitters Recalled

About 175,000 linear personal emergency reporting system transmitters (PERS) are being recalled, because the batteries used in the transmitters can fail to emit a low battery warning.

That means users think it's working when it may not be. The PERS transmitters can be worn around the neck, on the wrist, or as a belt clip.

You can find out if your unit is being recalled and to get a free replacement here: http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2014/Linear-Expands-Recall-of-Personal-Emergency-Reporting-System-Transmitters/#remedy
