(KOB) A Pennsylvania woman discovered a piece of history after she recently bought a new home.

Kayla Borosky found letters from a World War II soldier dating back to 1942.

She was determined to find the descendants of the soldier. "I read every letter and its remarkable.

It's him telling his family he's OK, what he did, what they were trained in," Borosky said.

The letters were postmarked 1942 and addressed to his family in Hooversville. Borosky doesn't know how the letters ended up at her home in Somerset, but she made it her mission to find the family of the soldier who wrote them.

"I don't know, I felt like my heart told me I had to give these back," she said.
