"It was a concern for years, this area was kind of associated with accidents. There really weren't that many accidents, but there was always the potential and we want to eliminate that potential by moving this current ramp, the new ramp back," said Ben Coker, with TXDOT.
TXDOT says the old ramp will be torn down once the new ramp is up and running.
