This heat is hard on anyone who has to be outside.
That's why Faith Mission has started a cool program to help its homeless clients deal with climbing temperatures.
When the clock strikes 3 p.m., shelter officials roll out a cart to help their clients beat the summer heat.
And coordinators say it has become a cool program with a catchy name.
"It's called Three O'Clock Pop and it's been very, very popular. Our guests and clients come out at 3 o'clock and have a popsicle of their choice and we do have bottled water and ice packs just to help break up the afternoon and get cooled off," says Libby Hastings, who works at Faith Mission.
The shelter started the program Saturday and they say it's so popular they are running low on supplies.
So, officials say donations of ice, ice pops, bottled water and small zip lock bags will be greatly appreciated.
