The 77-year-old woman who was viciously attacked by two pit bulls yesterday has now been admitted to the hospital due to an infection.
June O'Hara's son says she will be in the hospital for two or three days and is being given antibiotics.
He says his mom's sense of humor is still intact ... She told him, "The dang dog didn't brush his teeth!"
The attack happened during her morning walk in City View.
Three Jehovah's Witnesses heard her screaming, and threw their Bibles at the dogs to try to rescue O'Hara.
A college student also came to O'Hara's assistance ... fighting the dogs with O'Hara's walking stick.
Both dogs were seized by animal control, and the owner was issued citations for the dogs being loose.
Lou Franklin, with the health department, says today, the owner voluntarily gave animal control custody of the pit bulls... but Franklin says the dogs will not be euthanized yet,  because a criminal investigation is underway.
She says both dogs are current on their rabies vaccines.
