Preliminary Hearing Set for a Woman Accused of 17-Counts of Embezzlement

    A preliminary hearing is set for June 27 at 9 a.m. the Stephens County Courthouse for the former Bray-Doyle Public Schools Financial Secretary
     44 -year old Kimberly Dawn Brown of Marlow, is accused of 17-counts of embezzlement  totaling about  $100,000, over a five year period from the employees' Christmas account. She was arrested and released Monday on a $10,000 bond.
      The affidavit says the stolen  money was used to buy a 2008 Candy Apple Red Ford Mustang, for repairs to that car, to pay for her son's tuition at Cameron University and for veterinary bills for her pets, Gabby, Missy and Stoops. Brown had  been employed with the district for 10 years.
