Preventing Strangulation From Baby Monitors

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Juvenile Products Manufactures Association are banding together to launch a national campaign to get the word out about the dangers of baby monitor cords.
The CPSC reports seven known deaths and three near strangulations by baby monitor cords.  The two groups say monitors should be at least three feet away from a baby's crib.
JPMA is giving away free electric cord warning labels that parents and caregivers should attach to baby monitors as a reminder of the deadly hazard.
